Mission Statement

First and foremost, I would like to personally thank you for taking the time to visit this page. By doing so, you are already

showing your support for the Cherry Groce Foundation and what it aims to do.

Sometimes, without warning, life changes forever. We as human beings are not infallible. There are, and always will be, challenges that we encounter.

Testing times can make or break us but, whatever the issue may be, it’s how we deal with it that makes a difference.

In spite of the tragic ordeal that was thrust upon us, we at the Foundation, are determined to maintain the positive energy that radiated from, mum.

The shooting and subsequent paralysis of my mum had a huge impact on the dynamics of our family. Our matriarch, counsellor and carer was cruelly shot down by the overzealous actions of another. Whilst we were sleeping, a stranger burst into our home, pulled the trigger and, in an instant, shattered our lives into millions of pieces. Pieces which, to this day, we are still trying to put together.

Even though our lives have been overshadowed by tragedy and sadness, we now know we are not alone. We must not give up hope.

My experiences has taught me that our disabled friends, family and loved ones and their carers, must be given the chance to blossom and flourish in their achievements.

Each and every one should be encouraged to realise their fullest potential by using the tools that the Cherry Groce Foundation aims to provide.
